Instructions
Step 1: Prep
Adjust rack to middle position.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Pour maple syrup into a small bowl.
Stir in a pinch of salt and chili flakes to taste.
Set aside.
Step 2: Prep Breading
Place 1 tablespoon butter in a second small microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave until melted, 30 seconds.
Stir in:
- Panko
- Fry Seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Big pinch of salt.
Step 3: Roast Chicken
Pat chicken dry with paper towels.
Season all over with salt and pepper.
Lightly oil a baking sheet and place chicken on sheet.
Evenly spread sour cream onto tops of chicken.
Mound with panko mixture, pressing to adhere (no need to coat the undersides).
Roast chicken on middle rack for 20-23 minutes.
Check internal temp using instant-read thermometer.
Temp should read 160 degress.
Step 4: PLate and Serve
After internal temp reached 160 degrees, remove sheet pan from oven.
Remove chicken breast to rest on plate or cutting board.
Drizzle chicken with spicy maple syrup.
Sprinkle chicken with additional red chili flakes if desired.
