Korean-Style Beef Stir Fry

Hoisin Sauce 1 Tablespoon
Soy Sauce 2 Tablespoon
Scallion 2 Each
Sesame Seeds 1 Tablespoon
Garlic 2 Clove
Ginger 1 Thumb
Brown Rice 3/4 Cup
Broccolini 6 Ounce
Vegetable Oil 1 Teaspoon
Salt
Black Pepper

Instructions

Step 1: Prep
  Bring a medium pot of water with a large pinch of salt to a boil.
  Mince or grate garlic.
  Peel and mince 1 Tbsp of ginger.
  Thinly slice scallions, keeping whites and greens separate.
  Trim and discard bottom inch of broccolini.
  Halve broccolini lengthwise, through stems.
  Cut into 2-inch pieces

Step 2: Cook Rice
  Add rice to boiling water.
  Cook for 30-35 minutes until tender.
  Follow instructions on package.

Step 3: Season Beef
  In a large bowl, combine:
    - Soy sauce
    - Hoisin
    - Scallion whites
    - Half the garlic
    - Half the ginger
  Add ground beef.
  Mix with hands

Step 4: Roast Baguettes
  With 15-20 minutes left on rice, heat drizzle of oil in large pan over medium heat.
  Add broccolini and cook, tossing, for 6-8 minutes until crisp tender.
  Season with salt and pepper.
  Add remaining garlic and ginger and cook 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  Remove from pan and set aside.
  Cover to keep warm.

Step 5: Cook Steak
  Heat the same pan over medium-high heat.
  Once hot, add beef and cook, breakup into pieces, until brown and no longer pink.

Step 6: Finish and Serve
  Fluff rice with fork.
  Serve broccolini and beef on bed of rice.
  Sprinkle with scallion greens and sesame seeds.
