Honey-Garlic Shrimp

Instructions

Step 1: Prep
  Mince garlic.
  Mince optional giner.
  Thinly slice the whites of green onion.
  Thinly slice a small amount of the green of green onion for plating.
  Chop cilantro.

Step 2: Prep Sauce
  In a small bowl, stir together:
    - Honey
    - Soy Sauce
    - Garlic
    - Green Onion Whites
    - Optional Ginger
    - Red Pepper Flakes

Step 3: Marinate Shrimp
  Devein and deshell shrimp.
  Place shrimp into a bowl.
  Pour 1/2 of the sauce on top.
  Toss to coat the shrimp.
  Marinate for 15-20 minutes.

Step 4: Cook Shrimp
  Heat oil in a pan on medium-high heat.
  Add the shrimp (discarding any leftover marinade) and cook for 1 to 2 minutes on each side, until pink and just barely cooked through.
  Pour the remaining 2/3 sauce into the pan and bring to a simmer, stirring with the shrimp as it slightly reduces and warms through, for about a minute.

Step 4: Finish and Serve
  turn off teh heat.
  Sir in cilantro or parsley.
  Top with sliced green from grean onions before serving.
